Every year, “La Semaine de l’Industrie” (Industry Week) is an opportunity to spotlight the world of industry and its professions through events, conferences, educational workshops and company tours across France. ERAMET Alloys’ sites put a lot of effort into the operation, opening their doors to a varied public. Here are some of the events organised during the week, which took place from March 20th to 26th this year.

Aubert & Duval Ancizes communicates on its professions

To promote its activities and jobs, Aubert & Duval Les Ancizes carried out communication and awareness actions with school students, job centres and jobseekers. The site opened its doors on Monday, March 20th to enable the local office and training centre of AFPI, an organisation specialising in industrial skills, to tour the forging cold loop workshop. Also with the aim of promoting its professions, the site gave talks at Lafayette high school in Clermont-Ferrand and AFPI for its open day. Finally, Les Ancizes staff met potential candidate at a job dating event on Wednesday, March 22nd in Clermont-Ferrand.

Erasteel Champagnole meets high school students

Representatives of Erasteel Champagnole, alongside two other local businesses, visited Paul-Emile-Victor high school in Champagnole, which has a class in industrial and sustainable development science & technology. The discussion with almost 100 students was part of a conference and debate on “Ecological Industry”. It was an opportunity for the unit to present the company and its environmental issues. The speakers referred to our ISO 14 001 certification and the programmes designed to reduce our environmental impact.

Issoire units contribute to industry forum

Aubert & Duval’s Issoire and Interforge sites took part in several Industry Week actions to inform jobseekers about their professions. They met 40 unemployed people in the local job centre and invited 3 job centre advisors to the site to give them a better idea of the profiles the company is looking for. They also took part in a job dating event on Thursday, March 23rd in Issoire, enabling them to shortlist 16 candidates for upcoming temp assignments. Finally, the units participated in the open days at AFPI in Cournon d’Auvergne to meet young people interested in apprenticeships, particularly in the maintenance and machining departments.

Aubert & Duval Pamiers takes part in Future Industry Forum

The Pamiers unit took part in Future Industry Forum in Toulouse, organised by UIMM, the metallurgy federation, to present its activities to various audiences. The programme included tours for the local federation office and high school students from Pyrène technical college. The aim was to spotlight the notions of diversity, responsibility and innovation at the heart of our industrial professions.
