Valdi, an ERAMET Groupe subsidiary, has finished its 1st battery recycling in February. This activity contributes to the national and European goals on waste recovery and responsible resource management according to the circular economy momentum.
In February 2017, 200 tons of batteries were treated by Valdi on its Commentry (France) site for its first recycling run. It enabled to validate the industrial equipment and to check the assumptions on expected yields.
The next run, planned for the second half of March, will enable the plant to ramp up processed volumes.
This new facility gives batteries a brighter future!
