With bases in Japan, the ERAMET Groupe has been closely monitoring the terrible events that have struck the country since the beginning.

Its employees in Japan and their families are luckily safe and sound and activities are gradually returning to normal in the Tokyo office.

Beyond the messages of solidarity and sympathy it has sent the Japanese people, the Groupe has decided to act by contributing $US 200,000 in financial support to the Japanese Red Cross.

ERAMET has forged many strong bonds with Japan. There are important partnerships with major Japanese Groupes such as Nisshin Steel through SLN in New Caledonia and Mitsubishi Corp. for the Weda Bay Nickel project in Indonesia. The Groupe also has extensive, long-term relations with many Japanese customers.

The management and personnel of ERAMET all renew their support for their Japanese colleagues and friends, and remain mobilised alongside them.
