They carry projects in the fields of culture, environment, solidarity, knowledge and sport, with the common goal of developing local life. On November 15th, the eleven 2018 winners of the Nickels de l’Initiative awards – a competition organized annually by SLN, a subsidiary of the Eramet Groupe in New Caledonia, received their trophy in the presence of the jury and the SLN’s management. They share 3 million CFP (about 25,000 euros) to concretize their projects.
For twenty-six years, the SLN has supported associative or individual projects as part of the Nickels de l’Initiative awards, the first sponsorship program in New Caledonia. In total, 126 million CFP (or about 1,056,000 euros) have been distributed to its 290 members (associations, sports, schools, etc.) since 1992. A long-term citizen and contributory commitment!
