On June 6th 2016, Ali Bongo Ondimba, the President of Gabon, and Patrick Buffet, ERAMET Chairman & CEO, inaugurated Moanda Mining & Metallurgical School (E3MG) in Haut-Ogooué province, in the presence of the Prime Minister of Sao Tome and Principe and the Minister of Mining.
A symbol of an exemplary public-private partnership between the Gabonese State, the ERAMET Groupe and its subsidiary COMILOG, Moanda Mining & Metallurgical School in Gabon will open for the start of the 2016 academic year. It will eventually host 120 students for practical training in three areas: mining prospecting, ore mining and metallurgy.
