ERAMET took part in Semaine de l’Industrie again this year. From March 14th to 20th, the annual “Industry Week” was an opportunity for Groupe sites to promote and boost the sector’s attractiveness.

Semaine de l’Industrie, overseen by the French Economy, Industry & Digital Ministry, lets the Groupe tell the public about its activities and professions, spotlight its employees and their know-how and ideally inspire vocations.

Opening the doors to our plants

Plant tours are a main event for Industry Week. They let us show different audiences how our industrial sites are designed and work, introduce them to the people who work there, and maybe inspire a few vocationsFour tours were organised at Pamiers site, in the Midi-Pyrénées region, for middle and high school students as well as career guidance professionals. The 80 visitors, including the prefect for Ariège, Marie Lajus, and the sub-prefect for Pamiers, Patrick Bernie, looked around the site, which specialises in the closed die-forging of large parts for engines, aircraft structures and power turbines. In Auvergne, Aubert & Duval’s Les Ancizes site welcomed two middle school classes who learned all about alloy making, closed die-forging and forging.

Exhibiting outside our walls

In another initiative, Aubert & Duval Les Ancizes exhibited in the “industry discovery circuit” organised by Réseau Auvergne Industries on March 18th at La Fayette high school in Clermont-Ferrand. It brought in almost 100 students who discovered the company’s different markets through the parts on show, including the medical sector with a titanium hip prosthesis.Aubert & Duval’s Pamiers plant took part in the “industry showroom” organised from March 17th to 19th in the centre of Toulouse by UIMM Midi-Pyrénées (metallurgical industry federation).
