Clément Jakymiw has extensive experience in implementing industrial policies and leading transformation projects. A Chief Engineer of the French Corps des Mines, he is a graduate of Mines Paris and the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon. He began his career in the French state civil service, serving notably as Economic Advisor to the Prefect of the Pays de la Loire region before joining the General Secretariat for Investment (SGPI), under the authority of the Prime Minister, as Deputy Director for Industry and Services. In this role, he oversaw the financing of strategic projects within the France 2030 program.

He was later appointed Innovation and Digital Advisor in the office of the Minister of Higher Education and Research, where he coordinated key initiatives in innovation, research valorization, and the development of artificial intelligence.

Clément Jakymiw joined Eramet in October 2023 as Chief of Staff to the Chief Operating Officer, before being appointed Deputy COO in charge of manganese ore.

The appointment of Clément Jakymiw to the newly established position of Director of Value Chain Transformation in Gabon, reflects the Group’s commitment to setting out a clear roadmap that will contribute to the industrial development of its value chain in Gabon as well as to the vitality of the associated economic ecosystem. This approach echoes the country’s ambition for industrialization and local processing and is part of the long-standing partnership that has united Eramet with Gabon, the Group’s historic home for nearly thirty years.
