Comilog Dunkerque, a subsidiary of the Eramet group, received European Union funding under the JTF (Just Transition Fund) Hauts-de-France operation. This was made possible through the commitment of OPCO2i (Inter-industrial Skills Operator), the body responsible for supporting professional training, apprenticeships, and skills development for the industrial sector in France.

The objective of this funding is to assist the company in anticipating its skill requirements regarding the ecological transition. In 2025, the JTF enabled 32 employees to receive training in CACES (Safe Driving Aptitude Certificate), welding, maintenance, electricity, management, labor law, and English. These funds are managed by the DREETS Hauts-de-France services for employment-related projects.

What is the JTF?

The JTF is part of the European Green Deal and aims to support territories toward climate neutrality by 2050. Its goal is to mitigate the socio-economic consequences resulting from the transition to a zero-carbon economy by funding the diversification and modernization of the local economy and reducing negative impacts on employment.

With a budget of 325 million euros for the 2021-2027 period, the fund targets companies with sustainable projects, including battery life cycle and recycling, CO2 capture and recovery, renewable energy equipment, and sustainable materials and mobility.
