To learn how to get involved and find answers to the most common questions, explore our Open Innovation FAQ.

If you don’t find what you’re looking for, you can always contact us at openmine@eramet.com.

You can submit any solution that aligns with our innovation themes. We also accept proposals outside specific calls if you believe your technology could bring value to Eramet. Please select “other out of the box ideas” option while submitting proposals which lie out of the theme.

You are welcome to submit application in French or English.
Applications for our priority topics are open year‑round. You may submit at any time. The topic would be closed only when relevant solutions are met.

Startups, SMEs, research labs, universities and industrial partners are welcome. We encourage to pay attention to TRL requirement of each solution while applying.

Our innovation team reviews each submission individually. You will receive feedback within 2–3 weeks — either:

  • a request for additional documents,
  • an invitation to a short call with experts (under NDA if needed), or
  • a notification that your idea does not match current priorities.
Yes. All information submitted is treated as confidential and reviewed only internally by Eramet teams. We also recommend you submit the non-confidential information pertaining to your solution.

No. We recommend submitting only non‑confidential information at this stage. If we need more detailed information, we will first put an NDA in place.

Requirements for each topic are different. Please consult the description of each topic to identify the solution requirements.

Yes. All applicants receive a response within 2–3 weeks.

If your proposal aligns with our current priorities, the process may follow several steps:

  • Request for additional information or a preliminary call to better understand your solution.
  • Execution of an NDA to enable deeper technical discussions and exchange of sensitive information.
  • Assessment phase, which may include:
    • Proof of Concept (PoC),
    • a desktop or feasibility study,
    • or a bench scale evaluation in the lab.
  • If successful, this may progress to:
    • technical testing or joint evaluation,
    • field trials,
    • co-development activities,
    • long term collaboration, or
    • procurement, if the solution is already mature and ready for deployment.

Each step depends on the maturity of your solution and the fit with Eramet’s operational or strategic needs.

OpenMine is global. Partners from any country may submit.

Initial feedback is provided in 2–3 weeks, but full evaluation may take longer depending on:

  • complexity
  • need for lab tests
  • NDA or MTA formalities
  • alignment with teams
  • technical maturity
Yes. There is no limit; each idea should be submitted separately.

Choose the topic that fits best — our team will internally redirect your submission if needed.
