Strengthening our achievements and culture to ensure the safety of people

Non-negotiable, safety determines the sustainability of our activity. In 2025, we continued our efforts, with a stable TF2, reduced by fivefold since 2018. A cornerstone of our “Act for Positive Mining” roadmap, safety is an unwavering priority that applies to everyone: employees, staff, subcontractors.

In 2025, Eramet conducted a safety assessment across 13 industrial and mining sites. Today, we have a complete snapshot of our strengths, our safety culture, and operational risk management to initiate areas for improvement.

To help them implement and maintain this safety culture in their day-to-day work, our teams can draw on a range of tailor-made tools designed specifically with their activities in mind.

Our Safety Policy

The Group’s Safety Policy, approved by the Eramet Executive Committee and the managing committees of each subsidiary, sets out the Group’s commitment to protecting the health and safety of its employees and subcontractors.

Our Essential Safety Requirements

Our Essential Safety Requirements are mandatory safety rules for all Group sites. Everyone, whether they be an employee or a subcontractor, at all levels, is expected to apply them as a matter of course.

Life-Saving Behaviors

The Essential Safety Requirements are fundamental to our operations and are designed to protect our employees. Which is why they have been expanded with the addition of our new guide to “Life-Saving Behaviors”.

Ensuring a healthy working environment

Eramet is committed to providing its employees with healthy working conditions, whether from a physical or psychological standpoint.

To make this commitment a reality, Eramet has adopted a Health Policy whose main objectives are to:

  • Contribute actively to scientific research on the risks inherent in our processes and products
  • Reduce the health risks associated with work or the health impact of the Group’s industrial activities and products
  • Comply with local regulations, current norms and Group health standards
  • Implement the necessary measures to ensure this health policy is put into practice

This policy applies not only to employees, but also to subcontractors, visitors and the communities living near our sites.

Maintaining health in extreme working environments

Because of their altitude, extreme climate, and isolation, some Eramet sites are deemed extreme or even hostile environments, making healthcare and access to treatment more complex.

In order to address these specific health risks, Eramet is committed to raising awareness among its employees, developing a tailored healthcare system at each site, and leveraging digital medical services.

In Argentina, for example, a dedicated health center has been set up at the Centenario site, which teams are continuously upgrading: it will soon be equipped with a biological laboratory, imaging equipment, and a hyperbaric chamber.

In Gabon, Comilog provides funding for the Marcel Abéké Hospital, the most advanced medical facility in the Haut-Ogooué and Ogooué Lolo regions. The hospital is equipped with a wide range of technologies (scanner, ultrasound, analysis laboratory, blood transfusion center, telemedicine booth) to provide employees and the general public with access to quality care.
