Eramet currently has 19% women in its workforce and 28% women in management positions. Within the Group, the inclusion of women is not symbolic—it is a strategic choice. This means offering equal opportunities in recruitment and career development, and creating working environments where everyone can express themselves, grow, and succeed.

Inclusion and female leadership: concrete initiatives at Eramet

As the first point of contact with future talent, recruitment is a key lever for inclusion: significant efforts have been made to ensure exemplary practices, and 65 recruiters have already been trained in non-discriminatory hiring to reduce bias.

Supporting women’s career development is also a major pillar of our Group Diversity and Inclusion roadmap. Dedicated people reviews, as well as coaching and mentoring programs, have been implemented to foster the development of female leadership. In the same spirit, motherhood must be fully taken into account in career progression: thanks to the Eramet Global Care agreement, all our female employees benefit from 16 weeks of maternity leave, regardless of the country in which they work.

To improve women’s working conditions across our sites, we are investing in adapted infrastructure: creation of lactation rooms in Salta, Argentina, and Jakarta, Indonesia; improved accommodation at the Diogo base camp in Senegal; renovation of sanitary facilities in Gabon… All initiatives that contribute to more inclusive working environments.

The fight against all forms of discrimination remains at the heart of our approach. Internal awareness plays a key role in embedding a culture of respect. A major campaign denouncing inappropriate behavior, launched in June 2025 and extended into 2026, aims to bring about lasting change in mindsets by addressing concrete issues such as sexism, age-related discrimination, and discrimination based on physical appearance.

In addition, 1,300 employees have already been trained in workplace equality, the prevention of sexist and sexual violence, and understanding the impact of the female cycle on working life. These sessions help break down stereotypes, strengthen knowledge, and encourage more responsible behavior.

Finally, to ensure a safe and respectful working environment, we rely on a network of trained representatives specializing in diversity and inclusion, as well as in harassment prevention and management, to support teams on a daily basis. Their work is reinforced by ambassadors from the WoMen@Eramet network, who promote inclusion and support employees in the field.

We also take action beyond our sites to strengthen women’s economic empowerment, through international mentoring programs such as the one developed by International Women in Mining, as well as partnerships with local communities, notably through the Women of the Future program supported by Eramet Beyond. Together, these initiatives help open up new career opportunities and sustainably support female entrepreneurship.

Mentoring: an accelerator of confidence and career development

Providing personalized support to employees to strengthen their leadership skills, increase their visibility, and encourage intercultural exchange: this is the ambition of the mentoring programs developed or supported by Eramet.

  • The Twin Mentoring program, led by WoMen@Eramet, the company’s internal mixed network, offers 6- to 12-month pairings between mentees and mentors from different Group entities.
  • The International Women in Resources Mentoring Programme, run by International Women in Mining—of which Eramet has been a partner since 2023—connects participants with experienced mentors from IWIM member companies worldwide.

Beyond skills development, mentoring leads to tangible outcomes: smoother onboarding into new roles, accelerated internal mobility thanks to greater visibility, stronger leadership, and improved prioritization skills. It also helps women assert themselves in historically male-dominated environments and expand their professional networks.

In an industry that remains largely male-dominated, mentoring creates a space for dialogue, inspires women to take on new responsibilities, and helps reduce gender inequalities.
