Since 2022, our “Eramet Beyond for Contributive Impacts” program has illustrated Eramet’s commitment to supporting the development of local economies, beyond its mining activities.

Implemented in Argentina, Gabon, Indonesia, Senegal, and Cameroon, the program is structured around three core pillars: economic diversification, reduction of inequalities, and environmental resilience. Each initiative is built in partnership with local NGOs and social enterprises, ensuring a tailored response to the realities of each region.

Two years after its launch, the first results highlight tangible outcomes: 2,800 jobs created or supported and 718 women empowered through entrepreneurial support.

Empowering Women and Promoting Local Entrepreneurship

Among the flagship projects, “Femmes d’Avenir” supports women entrepreneurs through training and improved access to financing. To date, 718 women in Gabon, Senegal, and Argentina have benefited from the program, with a goal of supporting over 2,200 women by 2026.

Reducing Inequality Through Education and Training

Eramet also promotes access to education and training, as demonstrated by the “Lire pour l’Avenir” project launched in Gabon with Libraries Without Borders, and the scholarship program in Indonesia, which enables 42 students — 57% of whom are women — to pursue higher education.

Promoting Sustainable Agriculture

In Senegal, the BUILD project aims to create over 800 direct and indirect jobs in vegetable farming, livestock, and fishing sectors, while training 750 people. This project illustrates Eramet’s ambition to support diverse and resilient local economies.
