On Friday, July 27, 2012, the Minister of Industry and Mines and the Minister of Public Works were present to celebrate the launch of the tarmac resurfacing works of the main road between Moanda Rail Station and the city of Moanda (Gabon). The launch ceremony took place in front of Moanda Station and was attended by Jean Fabre, COMILOG General Manager, and the County’s Chief
This road was first build in the 1980s with the arrival of the railway in the High-Ogooué region. However, the road is so deteriorated and damaged by potholes that travel had become very difficult. Its renovation will not only make traffic more fluid but will also provide better safety and access to the future ERAMET Groupe’s Metallurgical Engineering Complex of Moanda (C2M).
