Eramet Biodiversity Day took place on Friday in the heart of our L\u00e9k\u00e9di Biodiversity Foundation park in Bakoumba, Gabon.<\/span> This annual event organized by the Foundation offers a unique opportunity for meetings, conferences, and sharing among scientific experts, institutions, and national and international partners.<\/p>\n

As a sign of its significant contribution to biodiversity conservation in Gabon, this third edition has been held<\/span> in the presence of Brigadier General Maurice Ntossui Allogo, Minister of Water and Forests, Mrs. Arcadie Svetlana Minguengui Ndomba, Minister of Environment, Climate, and Human-Wildlife Conflict, and Mrs. Clarisse Anguezomo Nguema, Deputy Inspector General of Services in charge of Education.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Eramet is a responsible and civic-minded company, whose commitments to preserving nature are recognized by civil society on an international scale. Through the L\u00e9k\u00e9di Biodiversity Foundation, we offer a unique project for a mining company: dedicating 14,000 hectares to the conservation and preservation of biodiversity, scientific research and experimentation, as well as training future generations. A realization of Eramet’s commitments to biodiversity beyond its mining activities<\/strong><\/h3>\n

This day demonstrates the Eramet group’s ambition to contribute, beyond its mining activities, to the major goals and targets of the Global Biodiversity Framework adopted at the Kunming-Montreal COP15 in 2022.<\/p>\n

After actfornature international<\/em> in July 2024<\/a>, the quality of Eramet’s commitments to biodiversity, beyond its mining activities, was confirmed by the international association Business for Nature<\/em> as part of its It’s Now for Nature<\/em> campaign.<\/p>\n
