ERAMET takes part in Industry Week 2015

Several ERAMET Groupe units once again took part in Semaine de l’Industrie (Industry Week), an event organised from March 30th to April 5th, 2015 by the French Ministry of the Economy, Industry & Digital to highlight national industry.

As partners in the 5th Semaine de l’Industrie, ERAMET Groupe units organised different actions to enhance industry’s attractiveness.

Informing about activities and professions

The main activity organised by the Groupe’s units was site tours for school & university students and job seekers in particular. Visitors were able to discover Aubert & Duval’s plants at Les Ancizes, in Auvergne, and Pamiers, in Midi-Pyrénées, as well as ERAMET Sandouville in Normandy. For ERAMET, these open days are an opportunity to:

  • present its activities and products;
  • inform visitors about its businesses;
  • show the wealth and range of careers in industry.

Jobs are a key topic in the events. That’s why some units also hosted local professionals in the employment & training sectors or took part in job fairs.

Highlight know-how

The Semaine de l'Industrie also shows how French industry is innovative and cutting-edge. From that perspective, Aubert & Duval’s Issoire plant in Auvergne took part in an exhibition where it showcased the aerospace parts it makes. Aubert & Duval’s Pamiers plant took part in Village de l’Industrie, organised by UIMM (metallurgical industry federation) on Place du Capitole in Toulouse. It exhibited an aircraft engine part that it makes and gave a preview of its virtual showroom on a touch screen.
