This April 1st, Eramet took part in the signing of the Manifeste des grandes entreprises pour soutenir le développement des start-ups technologiques (Manifesto of large companies to support the development of technological start-ups). Through this initiative driven by France Industrie and Bpifrance, 26 large French groups commit to supporting "deep tech" start-ups (disruptive innovation) through collaborations, in order to build the industry of the future together.
The signatories – which include Airbus, L’Oréal, Sanofi, EDF and Orange – commit, among other things, to create a dedicated point of contact for start-ups; to develop opportunities for cooperation and to enable easier access to financing; and to highlight these partnerships in the media, to give the start-ups better visibility.
Eramet was in the place! The Group and its subsidiaries have been working with technological start-ups for several years now: Delair for drone surveying; Adis for drone piloting certification; Evision for the installation of surveillance cameras in Setrag stations; Slentech, for the creation of applications for sites; Monixo for predictive maintenance; Uwinloc for the traceability of forged parts; and H4D for telemedicine. These collaborations involve all our entities around the world, from France to New Caledonia, via Gabon and Senegal, and draw on the skills of both international and local start-ups.
This type of partnership allows the Group to broaden its field of vision in terms of innovation and gives it greater agility, both in the testing and deployment phases, while enabling these start-ups to access new markets thanks to the support of major French industry players.
