Mission accomplished. With Russ Craig at its head, the personnel of Marietta (Ohio) inaugurated a new crusher/screener on February 16th, in the presence of Patrick André (Director of the Manganese division) and Bertrand Madelin (Manufacturing Manager).

The project, totalling around 5.5 MUSD, started in October 2005 and is scheduled to come on stream on February 28th. With throughput of 200 tons per hour, the new facility will make it possible to switch from three units to one and reduce manpower by ten jobs, significantly improving the site’s productivity. It will also help to improve the quality of the plant’s manganese alloys and increase their crushing yield. The US team is proud to have set a benchmark: the facility was built in outstanding safety conditions, without a single accident occurring.
