Eramet is a French mining and metallurgical group, specializing in metals and alloys and a supplier to strategic industrial sectors thanks to its high-end products. Through the deployment of various projects, in both our business lines and our geographical locations, we have been able to build a group of international caliber and yet one where people still count.
Preserving our People-based Organization
Although the Group numbers nearly 15,000 employees in all, it remains nonetheless a people-based structure in which exchanges and dialog are easy. This type of organization promotes:
- recognition of each individual;
- teamwork and the removal of barriers;
- knowledge-sharing between employees.
Attentive to the quality of the working environment and the training opportunities offered to the teams, the Group also gives everyone the opportunity to enjoy autonomy and take initiatives. The taste for operational responsibility is actually one of the qualities we look for in our employees because we believe that it is in involving them that we can achieve our goals of profitable, sustainable and harmonious growth.
To steer the Group's activities in an increasingly volatile and competitive environment, we have intentionally created small tightly structured management at both Group and division levels. This lightweight system is a definite advantage in managing the Group in a flexible, efficient and responsive way.
Profit from the opportunities offered by our international presence
With sites on five continents and multiple activities, from extraction to processing and the recycling of metals, Eramet is a group with a strong international presence and a wealth of diversity in its teams.
45% of our staff are based in Europe, 35% in Africa and Oceania, 15% in Asia and 5% on the American continent: in all we are established in twenty countries. We are therefore able to offer international perspectives during a person's career. Our presence in several locations also promotes contacts with colleagues and people of different backgrounds and profiles in connection with their business lines, careers, languages, cultures, etc. It is therefore important for us to create strong and true cohesion between the Group's employees that goes beyond national borders.
Our teams thus have the following in common:
- open mind-sets;
- and a real passion for their business lines.
Michel Carnec, Director of Human Resources, Health, Safety and Security
"In our Group, people count. It has the structures, resources and international presence of a large group, but operates with a lean organization, which enables decisions to be made quickly. Attentive to the quality of the working environment and training opportunities offered to its employees, Eramet gives everyone the opportunity to benefit from autonomy, take initiative, take on responsibility and thus evolve."
