In 2007, COMILOG and the outpatient centre in Franceville (Gabon) entered into a partnership agreement to enable HIV-infected employees to receive suitable medical treatment.
Thanks to the partnership agreement between COMILOG and Franceville outpatient centre, patients can be treated in strict confidentiality away from their home town. The cost of all medial services, including antiretroviral treatment, is borne by the company. This partnership comes under the Gamma programme, which was set up by COMILOG in 2005 to support the Gabonese government’s HIV/AIDS awareness actions.
Outpatient centres are public institutions that were created in 2005 to care for HIV-positive people. There is one in every province in Gabon, as well as four in Libreville.
