- Success in running the innovative patented extraction process: few hundred kg of lithium carbonate battery grade produced in 2016. Continuous semi-industrial steering of final confirmation scheduled for 2018.
- Prefeasability engineering study carried out. Investment estimated at around 380 MUSD. Ongoing feasibility study.
- Environmental permit application file submitted in December 2016 and final revision by the Authorities early 2018.
Lithium is used in many products, including Li-Ion batteries for tablets, smartphones and electric vehicules, glass and ceramics, the pharmaceutical industry, etc.
The start of production is scheduled for 2021, with a production capacity of 20 ktpy LCE*.
