COMILOG again supported La Tropicale Amissa Bongo, a major event in African cycling that took place in Gabon from February 16th to March 22nd, 2015. It was an opportunity for the ERAMET Groupe subsidiary to raise its profile and forge bonds with the Gabonese population.
The mining town of Moanda hosted the first stage in the 10th La Tropicale Amissa Bongo with a 100 km route from Bongoville. For the occasion COMILOG invited the partners and authorities who watched the stage for drinks, including the Gabonese Minister for Youth and Sports, the Governor of Haut-Ogooué Province and the Mayor of Moanda.
As the event’s official partner, COMILOG’s involvement went further than the first day. The company took part in the sponsor’s caravan in every stage, giving out branded goodies to the spectators. Above all, it sponsored the best sprinters’ jersey. We should also mention the support provided by SETRAG, the Groupe subsidiary that manages the Transgabonais railway, which sponsored the “Gabonese breakaway” jersey.
